[ARC5] Mica Capacitor

On the dynamotor I have rewired I have found that the only way I will get the additional field coil wires attached is to remove the mica cap and replace it with a new cap with the solder lugs also used to attach the additional wires as well.  I cannot get the wires to solder to the old cap solder lugs.

Is there any reason I can't use a different type of cap if I can't find a suitable value mica cap?
