Well, as I understand it, he doesn't HAVE a 24 foot square: he has 9 feet at one end, and 
19 feet at the other end. A very narrow rectangle.

His fence is about 5 feet high.

**I** say, droop or drop. 4.5 feet at each end, and use the 24 feet.

Voila! 33 feet.

As I also mentioned, use #36 black enameled wire.

And as you say, more wire equals more E into the air.

Matching impedances is easier.
