[ARC5] BC-454-B, tough problem

I recall buying a 1.5-3 mhz set at the TRW swap meet south of LAX back in 1982; it cost me $1.50.  I was pleased at how well it worked and was demonstrating it to my girlfriend (who was strangely unimpressed) when I noted that the LO had stopped working.  I traced the problem to cold solder joint where the tuning cap wire was attached to the coil socket.  A touch of the soldering iron fixed that.
