[ARC5] OT: B-36 Nuke Article

     I don't remember the blimp sound although I probably saw a number 
of them. Even the Goodyear blimps make a funny buzzing that is not quite 
like anything else.
     The B-36 flyovers inspired a recurring nightmare about the city 
being bombed. I guess that was also partly from being brought up with 
those "duck and cover" movies at school.
     Flying is a great frustration for me, I never had the opportunity 
to learn and I think I am too old now. Aircraft fascinate me, especially 
some of the older ones.
     I also remember a huge flyover when I was very young, in Detroit. 
Wave after wave of all sorts of planes in formation. I learned much 
later that they were probably being flown into Willow Run for scrapping. 
Seemed to go for hours but I was perhaps five so it was probably not 
that long.  There is no other sound like a formation of many airplanes. 
I can still see and hear it in my mind.
