[ARC5] ARC-39

IMHO, this is the coolest cold war set around. It is very compact, yet easy
to work on (the receiver comes out as an assembly)

It is built like a swiss watch, and performs very well. Power is a bit on
the low side, 15-20W, but audio is excellent. 6159 final, modulated by two
6159s.

Everything in one box, sort of like a miniature ARC-2.

I noted there is a ARC-39 for sale on ebay and wondered about that set. It
seems it was made by ARC, covered a similar freq range to the ARC-2, and was
mounted on an APR-9 shockmount, which as we discussed, ARC also made.

Thanks,
