Yes; that's what the books say.
Put an 801, a VT-25 and a VT-25A side-by-side.
Plug all of them into the PA of a BC-230.
The 801 and VT-25 are physically identical
and perform identically.
The VT-25A is more robustly built and delivers
more power out.
