 Don't forget the BFO coil too.
I've got a BC-453B that was "Range Mod 25-Nov-53"
It's modified to be a BC-946B. Coils,and dial replaced.

I note there is a broadcast band command set RF  coil assembly for sale on ebay.  
  
 
  
Am I correct in assuming that if you took a  BC-453 (for example, or an ARA 190 - 550 KHZ set), replaced the original  190- 550 KHZ RF coil set with the one from a BC band set, and replaced the 85  KHZ IF coils with the 239 KHZ coils from a BC band set then you would  have a BC band receiver?
