[ARC5] SX-100 PartNeeded

You should try Gary Brown  (WZ1M) who has a web site called tubes_tubes_tubes.  Search for this on Google.  There is a section called Boatanchor Parts.
Even if Gary doesn't have the coil listed, it would be worth e-mailing to check.  A coil from an SX-96, and quite possibly even an S-76, would work.  The SX-100 is an SX-96 with more bells and whistles; the S-76 is the first of the design series with the same tuning ranges and IF frequencies.
I've heard that Gary might be in bad health but don't know any details.  Can anyone provide an update?

What happened to it? Not repairable? That's going to be challenge to find unless you can find a trashed SX-100  for cheap.

Not especially on-topic, but maybe you can help. I need the broadcast band oscillator coil from a Hallicrafters SX-100. Any parts units out there?Don
