[ARC5] Power cords

There was a guy on eBay selling power cords for the Heathkit rigs. But they did not really work well.
There is a modern 2 wire (polarized) power cord available that can be used with the Heathkits (and probably others) if you are willing to change the panel connector (the male).
There come a time that it is not worthwhile to try and keep this stuff original.
Power cord:

I know a lot of people prefer a three wire AC cord but a lot of equipment produced in the 60's (or earlier) don't have the space for a three wire cable unless it is hard wired.

Nope - Different connector on the Heathkits. The SB-300 has 2 pins, like an old TV cheater cord.
IIRC some business machines (Olivetti?) used the 3-pin oval connectors like the old HP gear.
Cheers

These were also used on some Heathkit stuff like the SB-300 receiver.
