The ANT/RF/LO coil assemblies used in the 0.19 to 0.55 MHz receivers are:

System Receiver A.R.C. Part Loop Winding
RAV CBY-46102 6184 YES
ARA CBY-/CCT-46129 6184 * NO
SCR-274-N BC-453-A,B 6184 * NO
R-23, R-23A, R-148/ARC-5 9630 YES
 * Has same part number as used in RAV CBY-46102,
but the ANT coil has NO loop winding.

The ARA and SCR-274-N navigation receivers have no loop connections. Their ANT coils lack the loop winding that is present in RAV and AN/ARC-5 navigation receivers. The loop winding connects between ANT coil pins 1 and 6 in the latter receivers.

Thus, the proper part 9630 must be used in the R-23, R-23A, or R-148 if a loop is to be connected. For loopless operation, the later version of part 6184 will work. It's not very likely you will come across an early part 6184 for the RAV.
