Your situation is not the same as what I tell about here, but it relates:

Google INC, in its wisdom and power, chooses to read the emails I get from making lists.  IF I am sent from the mail list a copy of the message that I posted TO the list, it gets trashed and not delivered to me.

Why I can only guess.  Folks looked into this some time ago and discovered a change in Google/Gmail policy that brought this about.  There is no way to change it.

Yes, some or many mail list systems allow you to make a choice to get your own post or not to, but this is not the mail list system, it is the Google Gmail system that is doing it.

Welcome to the year 1984.  (Reference to the book “1984” by George Orwell that lays out a society controlled by the authorities in extreme form.)
