Do you have any figures on how many of ATA/ARA installations used the 2.1 - 3.0 MHz 
frequencies and why those might have been used, and where?

AFAIK, that range was used for civilian aircraft to communicate with control towers, but I 
have no clear idea of where that range might be used in combat.
