[ARC5] Who knows what "command set" operating frequencies are? (Rhetorical) Some useful links.

Gosh...a frequency range was "assumed" for a specific transmitter that did not in fact cover the assumed range. From that error, postings have now sprouted with all sorts of baseless speculation about the use of USN gear in USAAF aircraft to cover the fictitious frequency range...all prompted *only* by an earlier misunderstanding of what frequencies a specific SCR-274-N transmitter, the BC-696-A, covers. Really painful reading!
Nine years ago I tabulated this type of information in a table, part of the article at:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AN/ARC-5
In April, I published here a pdf file with a complete tabulation of *every* so-called "command set" system, introduction dates, associated transmitters, receivers, and frequency ranges, including some units likely not well known, outside a few:

The second link above likely has all the system, model number, and frequency detail that will ever be needed for LF/MF/HF "command set" discussions on this list. There are many other sources as well. This basic well-defined unambiguous knowledge is the core of the ARC5 list's major area of interest.
