[ARC5] BC-611 on 2.7 MC (was Re: OT The BC-659- what were they thinking?

The stock frequency range for the BC-611 is 3.5 - 6.0 MC.  Wonder how they 
did that?  The crystals for the SCR-511 (BC-745 Pogo Stick) will work and I 
think that the tank coils will work.  But the antenna coils are quite 
different.  The antenna on the BC-745 is much longer than the one on the BC-611.
