[ARC5] OT The BC-659- what were they thinking?

I'll read of your adventures with interest.  Over 10 years ago I found a BC-620-F sitting by the side of the road a quarter mile from my house with a sign that said "FREE."  It had no tubes but I have acquired some and I bought the manual as well.

By the way, somewhere I have a photo of a BC-620 being used as a backpack, an attempt to enable our troops in Normandy to talk to our tanks.
