I just remembered the data tabulated for various USN aircraft types found on Mike Hanz's site at:

 http://aafradio.org/docs/Navy-radio-gear-1.GIF

For the PBY-1, that document lists *almost* exactly what I listed above (as an educated guess) ... except that instead of 1936 RU-5 and GF-4/RU-5A sets, there are 1935 RU-4 and GF-3/RU-4A sets. There are only very minor differences between these 1935 vs. 1936 models.

Long Range Radio Operator's Set
GO-2 (1935) IF Transmitter CW -52054 ( 300- 600 kHz, A1/A2, 125 W)
             HF Transmitter CW -52053 (3000-13575 kHz, A1/A2, 125 W)
RU-4 (1935) #1 Receiver CBY-46048 ( 224-13575 kHz, A1/A2/A3)
             #2 Receiver CBY-46048 ( 224-13575 kHz, A1/A2/A3)

Short Range Pilot's Set
GF-3 (1935) HF Transmitter CBY-52063 (3000- 9050 kHz, A1/A2/A3, 15 W)
RU-4A (1935) Receiver CBY-46051 ( 224-13575 kHz, A1/A2/A3)
