Thanks very much, Todd! The photo is excellent and detailed. I'd be interested in your other photos and any other info you have. I've compiled a fair-sized work on GF/RU, SCR-A*-183/283, and related sets for public access in the near future and I would like to make note of your unit, if that's OK.
That unit is considerably larger and more complex than the RAJ CBY-20040 power supply, which has on its front panel only one six-pin connector (which mates with **no** RU, GF, or LM unit) to the same type connector on the RAJ CBY-46046, plus one primary fuse, one primary power switch, and one permanently attached AC power cord and connector.
Your unit appears to be special-made locally at NAS Alameda (without contract info or navy type numbers) for maintenance use, which would explain its omission from any documentation of it in GF/RU manuals. I wonder when it was made.
Apparently Hue sighted a CBY-20040 at a recent hamfest. That would be worth having, just for its rarity, to give to some RAJ owner that needed it, and to keep it from being junked or ham-hacked. (I know of nobody who has ever seen a real-life RAJ.)
Topic Detour: I was at NAS Alameda several times in 1974. It was home port then for USS Enterprise CVAN-65, a ship I've been on (at NAS Alameda) but was never assigned to. Now the USS Enterprise has been deactivated and NAS Alameda long disestablished (but afterwards it was home to a lot of Mythbusters antics).
