[ARC5] 1943 VHF and UHF converters for ARA broadcast band receiver

I forgot to mention that according to the manual on the converters, the 
battery box supplied with the 46212, 46213 and 46214 was the 19049 (not 19047 
as given below).  However, NAVSHIPS 900,109.says that both boxes contain the 
same seven batteries and gives no indication of what the difference is, if 
any.

According to the manual on these three, you could also use a 46103 set to 
550 KC and a 46104 set to 1500 KC.  But the sensitivity would be well down 
because the peak output from the output transformers in the three converters 
was at about 1000 KC.  The tuning charts, as best I can figure reading 
between the lines, were based on using a 1200 KC IF frequency.  It doesn't appear 
that it was intended to set the tuning control on the converter and then 
tune the IF receiver up and down.  From what I've read in the manual, whomever 
wrote the specifications below did so with a lot of poetic license.  If the 
sensitivity was down enough at 550 and 1500 KC to mention in the manual, I 
can just imagine what it was down to at 195 KC and 5 MC!
