Looking at page 65 of the text, PDF page 73, there is a reference to rotating reference markers.

For Clare, the barometric pressure set knob normally changes the barometric scale, and perhaps either in a pull mode or push mode, the set knob changes that reference marker.  Just don't pull or push too hard.
