It has been my experience that "bathtub" and "metal clad" capacitors have held up for a long time. Unfortunately, those capacitors are now starting to fail on a regular basis. Therefore, I just go ahead and replace all of them.
New capacitors are inexpensive, and the damage that a failed capacitor can do to other components such as transformers is considerable, one is well ahead to replace all of them. If one wants to retain the original look, then "restuffing" the old capacitors can be done. However, at least for me, I just want to the unit to operate properly and just install the new components. My experience with the metal-clad caps in the BC-348Q also showed no need to replace them.. The internal Hallicrafters power supply for the set made for the Navy specified B+ at 245 volts and 60 mA. Hallicrafters schematic at this link
