I would opine that the "safest" orientation would be with the "ground"
pin pointed to the left. That would put the "ground" and neutral at
the highest positions to intercept any falling metallic object.
Second safest would be ground pin up.
Third and fourth least safe would probably be a tie between "ground"
pin pointed right or "standard" orientation with "ground" pin down.
Choose between object shorting between hot and neutral or hot and
"ground."
