Do plugs in the US have insulating sleeves over the pins? They do by law
here. The sleeve begins at the base of the pin and runs about half its length
so that if the plug is half pulled out, the live pin is not exposed.
Oh, and Brian's use of the word 'pressure' is most unusual and seems to
be some personal quirk of his own. I've never heard of voltage referred to
that way in this part of the world. Never seen it in the excellent Aussie mag
'Silicon Chip'.
