Andrew,
T53A (one winding of the coil under the can) is across C63.
For a connector to fit the 7-pin connector on the rear of any receiver or
transmitter, you need to find a butchered or preferably stripped receiver
chassis for any model receiver EXCEPT BC-453-B, BC-454-B, BC-455-B or BC-946-B
(because the connectors in these receivers are (almost?) always missing the
unused pins. The three male connectors for the IF transformers will fit the
AN/ARC-5 transmitters. The three just behind the tuning capacitor will fit
everything else. Getting them out of the chassis is a bit of a bother but
not that difficult. I use a pair of the smallest Xcelite flush end-cutting
wire cutters. You will also need to acquire one mini-banana pin for each
connector you modify, drill a hole exactly in the center of the connector, and
install the 7th pin. Several of us here have some of the pins. Or last
time I checked Pomona still made and sold several variants. Pay attention to
how far from the wafer the pin actually starts as there are several types.
Standard banana pins are too large.
