Okay , You probably remember my query about the ball bearings on a capacitor a few weeks back

As it turns out, there are a total of three still in that cap and I wasn't able to insert anymore as of yet ,but the plates are not shorting at any pointt in it's travel open or closed. I applied some grease and everything's moving nicely .

Upon checking for shorts with a inexpensive multimeter , I found that C-63 ,the capacitor nearest the rear connector to have continuity across it , no matter if it's open or closed . I do have a schematic ,but I can't tell if this is normal. I can't find any wires touching.

What does one use for a power connector if you can't find a MIL plug . I have an original military socket on mine ( a bonus)

I've heard of folks making their own ,possibly with banana plugs?

And lastly , I want to build a supply and run the power lower , Not so much at QRP levels ,but maybe around 10 watts, and I have heard of some using some kind of industrial transformer found on EBAY . I can't remember what it was called , maybe a isolation transformer?

Sorry for so many questions at once

Thank you in advance

Andrew Kopke .
