If you mean "jar" there is a good citation to a British Navy
publication with a link to archive.org. I have the 1938 edition of
_Handbook of Wireless Telegraphy_ Jar is defined in paragraph 168 with a
note that it is obsolete and the value given as
1 micro-farad = 900 jars or
1 jar = (1/9x10^-8)F
This is the same as the value indicated in the Wiki article.
