>From my archives, I brought out my May 1938 issue of Radio magazine.
In articles submitted by readers, the word is 'condenser' throughout,
but when I got to the advertising section I found:
Cornell-Dubilier - 'capacitor', pg 67
Mallory - 'condenser', pg 75
Transoil - 'capacitor', pg 78
General Electric - 'capacitor', pg 85
Bud Radio - 'condenser', pg 86
Cardwell - 'condenser', pg 89
Aerovox - 'capacitor', pg 91
It seems that a transition to 'capacitor' had already started by 1938.
