I’d be interested to learn more about the standardized test set. Are there articles or bits of history out there I can find? I wonder if any of the MIT Radiation Laboratory series of books tells anything about this.
It may well be that General Radio produced a crystal test set or system to do this job (but if so, I have not heard of it). They certainly did make frequency measurement systems of top notch capability.
