All,

I just finished reading KB8TAD's (Rich Post) Repair Notes

for the Hallicrafters S-76 Rx.  And Wow!  His notes read

(to me) like a detective novel and are superbly written.


I've read many a troubleshooting book, and few if any can

hold a candle to Rich's down-to-earth explanations and

techniques.


Particularly interesting is his technique in generating a

50 kHz signal to align the S-76's IF.  Which if I'm not

mistaken is also the frequency needed to align the IF

of many Hammarlund Rx's.
