[ARC5] Power Transformer Identification

Your transformer may be a Stancor part.  Stancor made one especially for surplus receivers like the Command Sets and the BC-348, also the BC-603/683 tank receivers.  It had a filament winding of about 28 volts for the radio, and I am pretty sure the rectifier was intended to be a 6X4 or 6X5 (octal base version).  The HV secondary was approximately 480 to 500 volts (center tapped) at about 80 milliamps.  This transformer was listed in the Stancor catalog with a "PC" prefix for the part number (plate and filament transformer) but I can't recall the complete number.
Fair Radio Sales also sold a similar transformer with their part number FAIR-818 if I remember right, but the transformers were made by some contract company.  I don't know what the manufacturer's part number for the Fair-818 was.  May have been Stancor, maybe someone else, who made it.

 Subject: [ARC5] Power Transformer Identification

I have a home brew power supply built by a silent key that powers a BC-454-B receiver. It has a small power transformer, dual can capacitor, and 6X4 rectifier.

I am trying to find out who the manufacturer of the small power transformer was.

The transformer has the following numbers stamped on the bell:

80-2186-2
306942

It's physical size is 2 1/4" deep by 2 5/8" long by about 2 1/4" high. It is a square hole type chassis mount (bottom fed wiring).

Does anyone on the forum recognize the numbering scheme?

Any information gleaned is most appreciated.

Thank you in advance to all who respond.

Respectfully,

Phillip W4RTX
