I sold a small article to 73 back in the mid-80's for $50 and got paid right away.
I also liked to enjoy Wayne Green's editorials. They were thought provoking, and unlike every other magazine I get, the editorials were the first thing that I read.
But Wayne Green went off the deep end when it came to End of The World scenarios. He would even appear on Art Bell's radio program and discuss that. I have an old friend, also an amateur radio operator, who became obsessed with that stuff. He lives 80 miles away and we used to talk on 2M every night - or give it a try - but eventually it was difficult to communicate with him in any way as dire prediction after dire prediction failed to come true. And when Wayne Green went right from the Y2K crisis that did not appear to the woman who was receiving telepathic messages from space aliens warning of the threat from Planet X, I decided not to renew my subscription.
