Hello Mark (& list readers),
On April 28th the postage for a BC-458-A to Australia was just under
AU$72.oo (or about US$50-55).
I have no idea how it got here - I just signed the form when the
postman called at my door.
By way of comparison, when the events of 9/11 finally washed up on the
shores of life, the cost of shipping for any of the "command"
receivers to Australia rose from exactly US$34.50 to around $50.00.
This is due (in part) to the fact that some-one discontinued sea
freight. Every packet now goes by air. This severely curtailed my
acquisition of "command" set parts. :-(
