Parts are interchangable between the J, N, and Q models.  Coils may be usable from others, but the variable trimmers are not.

  Hi All,
Finally to the RF section after replacing an IF can (thanks Robert) ,and found that one of the dual ceramic variable caps in the ant section is toast.  Turns just fine, but half of the upper section is gone.  It is section 1 and 2 for the lower 500Kc band and luckily easy to get at.  Tried a few other bands, and they tune up fine.
Does anyone have one of these from a parts unit?  This is a BC-348Q, but I think they all have the same parts in there.  May be wrong on that.  Please contact me off list at jpwatkins9 at yahoo.com.
