[ARC5] T-17 goes for big bucks!

I recently watched "Jet Pilot" (John Wayne, Janet Leigh) about US/Russian jet stuff with the predictable romance angle, and T-17 mics show up on both sides, but not inaccurate since Lend Lease probably sent thousands of T-17 mics to the Soviets.

Ever notice how many times T-17 mikes get used in the movies and TV?  I have seen them used in just about everything, up to and including a Martian spacecraft.  I guess that in the same way a BC-348 looks just right to be some kinda radio, a T-17 looks like a mike should.
