No, the 12A6 is a beam tube.

I had also thought of the 12BY7 and 12BY7A which are not beam tubes,
so they qualify on that score. Unfortunately they are not power tubes,
although they are used in many SSB transmitters to drive Class AB1
final amplifier stages. Class AB1 means no grid current, so they are not
being called upon to deliver any real power. I don't think I've ever seen
one being used to drive a Class AB2, B, or C stage.
