Phillip: the 6SB7Y "higher-transconductance mixer tube" was specifically 
made for use in FM tuners of the period. There is NO 12SB7Y and none 
were ever made, at least as far as I know.

I'll now read the traffic on this issue which went before this, and see if I can 
recommend something.
