Ok...here's a twist on command set knowledge:
The wiring diagram in Dave's post will work perfectly once the BFO and RF GAIN circuitry is removed from the rear connector (leaving only the control circuitry wired to the front adapter panel), for ALL ARA and SCR-274-N receivers.
BUT it will NOT work for ANY AN/ARC-5 receiver.
Why not?
