[ARC5] Manufacturing and expertise, (was Switching DC-DC Power Supplies)

The present system has been emphasizing short term profits over long term planned growth since MBAs took over the leadership positions in technology driven corporations (I.e. Since the late 1950s/early 1960s).

And it's all become worse with forced mergers taking place. And stockholders demanding continuing stock gains. Profits drive all decisions with little to no strategic planning these days, with a very few exceptions of forward thinking corporations (many of these privately held).
