73 Mag was always lacking in checking the correctness of their articles.
Since Wayne did most of the sales and editorial work he didn't spend much time
evaluating submissions.  Fortunately most were reliable.

A good friend of mine (fairly new in RTTY) once submitted a lengthy article
on the subject that was soundly debunked by a number of letters to the editor.
I was surprised that Wayne printed it, especially considering he was an early
pioneer of the mode.

But it was great having additional ham mags to peruse, especially Ham 
Radio (Jim Fiske)

"Caveat Emptor"  was the word with Wayne, especially his later 
political rants. ;-)
