Dave,
Check with the guys in the radio club of the USS Hornet aircraft carrier.
The California Historical Radio Society donated some NIB radar test sets
(post WW2) and the radio club was happy to have them. The Hornet's
operational life extended well beyond WW2 and was involved in the early
space program.
