Dave,
That guy had the right idea. It’s so different from normal BC-221’s that you should not bother with it any more. It will cloud your mind and distract you from proper thinking.
Just ship it to me.
I’ll keep it out of your awareness and give it a very nice retirement.
Right next to the equally nice LM frequency meter I have here. The one in the black case with the gray power supply and is complete with proper cables. The one that runs just FINE even though it’s 70 years old like me. I’ll put it into the rack with the 70 year old BC-779 receiver that’s also 70 years old. They’ll all be happy together.
Just ship it to me.

I never saw or heard of a rack mount BC-221. (I have heard of rack mount BC-348’s and nearly got one but a divorce in the owners family got in the way of that deal.) It looks in VERY nice condition. The entries in the frequency card seem to be mostly non-ham frequencies. The NDB frequencies could give you a clue as to the area it was used in. I don’t know if there are NDB frequency lists that go back that far.
