Jeff, thanks for your reply and reference. I was under the misimpression
that the chanalization of the R-28 was under crystal control, so the tuning
dial threw me off. Now I see, in your reference, that this rcvr has nine
ganged variable capacitors for tuning. Thanks also to all others who
answered my query.
