The real replacement for the USAAF SCR-522-A was the AN/ARC-3.

I suppose one could say that in those limited places that the USN used the SCR-522-A that the USN's VHF AN/ARC-5 may be considered been a contemporary set, along with the USN's AN/ARC-4 and the USN's late-WWII AN/ARC-1.  USAAF/USAF use of the USN VHF AN/ARC-5 was out of the ordinary...like in the Bell X-1.  It was **completely** incompatible in the USAAF/USAF SCR-274-N system.

There is an identical-appearing T-126/ARC-5 whose four channels spread over the more useful range of 100 to 146 MHz.
