The coil-box is there too.

Also, I have several very derelict R-23s or BC-453s here that the fellow I 
received them from had converted to tune to 17.8 Khz. The coil boxes in 
those are gone, the IF's had been changed to 239 KHz (!), and the BFOs 
had been removed.

So, that "kit" of parts would pretty much restore one of those 17.8 KHz 
receivers...

We'll see...
