OK, Gang, looks like we have it figured out. I'll start on the scanning and
PDFing asap.
BTW, these booklets are about 6" X 7" in size, but when I scan them, I'll
scan them to 8.5" X 11" or as close to that as I can easily make them, which
should make them a bit easier to read.
The staples are rusty, and have left stains on the books at those places, but
those don't interfere with the text or pictures. I'll remove those, carefully,
when I scan the booklets and replace them when I send them off to the
museum.
To refresh, there are three booklets: 2 of 47 pages each and one of 96
pages. They are quite "yellowed", but still readable. They were obviously
typed out on a standard typewriter as some of the letters aren't completely
full, and the letters don't line up perfectly either, but that is part of their
"charm" for me. Also, all the illustrations are hand-drawn.
There are a few errors in them. For instance, one drawing describes the
output tube for the SCR-274 receivers as being a VT-131, which is a 12SK7,
which is wrong, while another shows that tube as a VT-134 or 12A6 which is
correct.
Reading through the booklets I find them to be very interesting. One of the
things I find so fascinating about them is what they DON'T say.
You'll see what I mean when you read them.
Thanks again for the help and advice.
vy 73 to all.
