Boy! That is possibly the most important statement made here so far, and is 
it EVER correct !

RFI has become a HUGE issue lately, all over the world.

My noise level on 80 meters is a constant 10dB over S-9 here from what, I 
have finally determined, are multiple sources. Tracking even a few of those 
down and "fixing" them are very, very difficult tasks.
