Set in question. BC-453-B, serial #3154.
Condition: well hacked, with LV choke missing, and all 'flower-pot'
caps replaced by Mylar caps (sim. to greencaps, but brown).
Screen divider pot completely removed, and screen supply connected
  directly to B+ supply.
B+ Supply voltage 60.0 to 60.1 volts, measured by Fluke 123 scope
  meter.
Load: garden variety (probably 32 ohm) 'cans'. Common stereo type
bought in a shop that sells 'stuff'.

RF gain control fully CCW: 16.mA
RF gain control fully CW 20.mA (measured by my very nasty
digital meter, but should be within 2%)

So my set draws more current than Bill's set.
(That's because he's above the equator, and I'm 'down under')

But I think my set is 'typical', because I remember measuring the
plate current WITH the two 7k dividers in place.
  I measured 20mA (but don't trust this - it's only memory!)

  That's 14k on 60V, or 4mA thru the divider. 4mA 20mA less 4mA (thru
divider) = 16mA (what I get with the divider "out".
