[ARC5] Identification of unknown interface box.

Good afternoon all,

Some time ago I bought a "grab-box" filled with various BA-related parts.

In with these BA parts was what looks to be some sort of interface box 
for a telephone system.  Multiple google searches were fruitless...other 
than confirming that Automatic Electric did made telephones and 
telephone equipment but had no information on anything similar.  The 
"guts" seem to be potted, so taking it apart probably won't tell me much.

Anyone recognize it and can tell me what it is for?  Anyone need it for 
something?
