All good points.  I might only suggest a tiny dab of white Teflon based 
lubricant rather than the silicone spray - the silicone magically 
migrates to a lot of stuff through simply touching it, and you may 
develop some harsh words if you need to do any black wrinkle repainting 
where it has migrated.  I eliminated anything to do with silicone in the 
shop years ago because of that characteristic.  Teflon lube also works 
well with most plastic bearing surfaces.  Ordinary paint thinner will 
remove it.
