Townsend WI, in far northern WI . Tempreture here at 9pm is a balmy 16 below zero and we should bottom out at about -24 overnight. 10mph winds have the wind chill at -35. Add in another 2 inches of snow tonight for extra fun. Snow cover is rather shallow at about two and a half feet, normally it would be a good foot more.
Life is good!

=============
Come to central NC.  42-47 degrees would be WELCOME!  We will be in the low single digits tonight with a wind chill that will take us to about -12 degrees F.
We had about a half inch of snow Tuesday followed by at least an inch of ice.  Everything has a nice glaze.  Tail-bone breaker!

My church's parking lot has about a 20-plus foot drop from street level to the bottom.  Went over there for choir rehearsal tonight, not knowing it had been canceled; and the lot would have made a great Luge-run except for the need to make a quick 90-degre turn at the bottom....
No, I didn't try to drive down the hill.

Very sunny, very windy, and very cold here on the Space Coast.  47F with NW wind at 17G26 at present.  Got down to 42F or so last night and is forecast to get down to 33F tonight.  My peach trees and pecan tree should enjoy all this, but the peaches are already blooming and the Sweetgum trees almost fully leafed out.

And I'm running a fever and feel less than great.  As for Calif, if I could ship you all that is dripping out of my nose your water problems would be over.  I foresee a potential national shortage of tissues if this keeps up.

Normally such weather is excellent for indoor projects.  I have a homebuilt NCX-109 ready to assemble, an NC-270 that needs to be restrung and aligned, an IC-560 that needs a chopper in the VFO to be replaced, a bookcase that needs another coat of polyurethane to be complete, and an airplane that needs to have an annual inspection - just for starters.  Two BC-342's and two National NC-60's await my attention as well.  But I feel crappy and it's too cold in both the garage and the hangar.

I think I'll go sit in the truck and listen to Rush Limbaugh; it's nice and warm out there in the sun.
