Have used Harbor Freight's Step Drill Bits with much success in making 1-1/4" inch holes in an aluminum chassis for octal sockets. Their 1/4" to 1-3/8" Unibit will easily get the job done using either a dill press or hand drill. A 2-bit package costs about $19 on sale at HF. 73, Tom. KE4RHH
